what to do when it's 20 min til 6pm

All the house is an absolute mess right now, I want to keep writing blog posts and perfecting my lists and plans but the house needs action. When all hope is lost and everything looks like Irma just stopped by the only thing that has to absolutely get done is the kitchen. YES? repeat after me:
put music on
empty that dishwasher
put stuff away
throw dishes in dishwasher
make high chairs look like you cleaned them, sort of
change your shirt and look like the kitchen has been clean all day!

tasks that need to get done around the house

always fighting about who's turn it is to do the dishes? you may benefit from having a 'to-do' list where someone who's better at doing dishes will do them all the time while the one who hates laundry or cleaning toilets the least gets to do that every single time. This may not work for everyone but I will be trying it with the Wetcat and let you know how it goes! He is definitely resilient to even creating the list because he feels threatened by it. Themed night meals (more photos to be added)

Not a single two nights have we had the same thing unless it was leftovers of the first time I cooked it. That sounds very romantic and exciting but the trouble is and the reason why this is is that even if I cook something we love I never know exactly what went into it so I cant do it again unfortunately. Even if I'm starting out by following a recipe I always end up adding a bit of this some of that and end up with a completely different result each time! This was great when it was only Wetcat and I but now that Chunk and Canary (Kik and Sof) are in the game I think we need to implement some sort of ' tradition ' around mealtime if only it is to ward off any picky eating issues. That is why themed meal night sound like a great idea! The only issue is that what I find online is very... meat eater friendly but not so health or vegan friendly.
